Melbourne Rectangular stadium recently hosted its first event, rugby league's 2010 ANZAC Test on 7th May 2010.

Macalloy 460 tie rods were supplied as cross bracing in the lighting towers in M30 and M42.
The stadium has been designed to facilitate both football and rugby events, with a capacity of 31,000.
