Macalloy Awarded European Technical Approval for Macalloy Tension Rod Systems - 28/11/2007

After recently receiving the European technical Approval for the Macalloy 1030 post tensioning system. Macalloy are have again pushed the quality barriers again and have received the same approval for Tension rod systems Macalloy 460, S460 and 520.
The European technical approval is a proof for the fitness for use of a construction product within the meaning of the Construction Products Directive transposed in Germany by the Bauproduktengesetz (‘Construction Products Law’).
The ETA is based on tests, examinations and a technical assessment by approval bodies designated by the EU Member States for this purpose. It covers all product characteristics, which can be important for the fulfilment of the legal requirements in the Member States, with the relevant levels of performance required being different in each Member State.
As a result of receiving the technical approval Macalloy are able to place the CE marking on the construction product and thus the access to the European market. The CE marking also confirms Macalloy carry out the prescribed verification method and that the conformity of the product is given with the approval.

The tension rod systems comprise metric ISO thread sizes from M10 to M100 (systems 460 and 520:M10 to M100, system S460:M10 to M56)
