Mbombela Stadium recently won the Tubular Structures trophy at the awards event organised by the Southern African Institute of Steel Construction (SAISC).

Mott MacDonald was structural designer for the lightweight, cable stayed roof of the stadium, which was supplied with Macalloy 460 M76 and M85 tendons.
