City of Manchester Stadium
Year of Completion 2003
Built for the 2002 Common Wealth games, the City of Manchester Stadium was further redeveloped to become the home of Manchester City football club. Throughout the redevelopment the temporary stand was taken down and replaced with a similar structure to the opposite side of the ground, as a result the capacity of the stadium was increased by 12,000.
With galvanised Macalloy 460 and guy linking used as back stays to the roof structure, approximately 58 bars in M30 with fork and lock cover surround this bowl shaped stadium which is the tenth largest stadium in the United Kingdom.
