Devonport Royal Navy Dockyard

The reconstruction of the Devonport Dockyard has included over 250 75mm Macalloy Bar anchors in the dock floor. With a characteristic failure load of 4310kN this is the largest bar anchor currently available.
The flexibility provided by the Macalloy double corrosion protected system was tested at this challenging site. With anchors up to 32 metres in length, with the sectional design providing site adjustments of the fixed and free length.
