Dubai Sports City is a $4 Billion mixed use sports city which will consists of various outdoor and indoor stadia, a golf course and various other amenities. One of the facilities is the purpose built football academy. 24m long trusses using stainless Macalloy 460 in diameter M76 support the glulam roof above the swimming pool. Special stainless steel was selected due to the high chlorine environment.
The project is expected to be complete in 2011.
