Throughout this new terminal, Macalloy 460 tendons in a range of diameters can be found in the glass façade walls. Macalloy S460 M56 and Macalloy 460 M48 tendons were also supplied to support the bridge deck. Macalloy Site Services were required on site, as each tendon required tensioning. The bridge deck will provide the perfect view to the airfield.
The second terminal will be capable of handling 15 million passengers, allowing the airport to handle 35 million passengers a year.
The new terminal is expected to be fully operational by November 2010.
