With the main hangar structure consisting of 7 bowstring lattice trusses spanning 145m, as well as 14 square lattice columns 22m high. Using pairs of tendons in M105 in the Macalloy 520 range, the tendons were used as the bottom chords of the lattice trusses. With each tendon 6m in length, the tendons were connected by turnbuckles and terminated by forks at the end of the trusses.
In addition S460 tendons in M48 created diagonals of horizontal bracing again situated on the bottom chord of trusses. A special crossing plate enabled the crossing of the tendons, this was of particular advantage for the independently prestressing of tendons, and it also saved from using two forks in the connections.
