Steeped in history, the Olympiastadion began renovation in 2000, which would enable the stadium to host 6 matches throughout the 2006 World Cup.

Whilst the England team did not make the final, Macalloy are proud to have provided to the Olympicstadion, the centrepiece for the World Cup final in Berlin.

Macalloy supplied approximately 100t of galvanised Macalloy 460 in diameters up to M76 to act as bracing within the steel work supporting the main membrane roof structure.
