One island east is an office tower that rises over 1,000ft. Macalloy 460 tendons were supplied for the footbridge and hanging walkway around the lift core. The new tower is linked with the existing tower by a footbridge, using M100 and M56 galvanised tendons.
Besides the footbridge, M76 bars were used to hang an elevated walkway around the lift core which serves as the lift lobby level.
The tendons are painted to hide the lockcover, this was achieved with 2-3mm thick FRP coating, before the final outer paint coat was put on.
