The Macalloy 1030 system will be used on the Third Bosphorous Bridge in Turkey which has been named after one of the most prominent Sultans in Ottoman History.
Once construction is completed the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge will be the widest bridge in the world, and Macalloy have provided M1030 Post Tensioning System products to the construction.
The Macalloy 1030 Post Tensioning System consists of high tensile alloy steel bars in diameters varying from 25mm to 75mm. Also up to 11.8m length is available in this range and can be finished in carbon chrome or stainless steel. The Nominal Ultimate Tensile Strength for this range is N/mm2 1030.
Greater tendon lengths can be obtained by joining Macalloy bars with threaded Macalloy couplers. We also provide plates, washers and nuts.
Australia 108, planned for construction at 70 Southbank Boulevard, Southbank, Victoria, will be the first 100 storey residential apartment building in the southern hemisphere. Macalloy is providing a total of 203 tonnes of 1030 steel bar in 75mm fully threaded.
Work is well under way at the VTB Arena - also known as Dynamo Central Stadium. Macalloy have provided galvanised 520 Grade Tension Rods in M16, M85 and M100. Work is expected to be completed later on this year, ready to host FIFA 2018 World Cup. Macalloy is also supplying Tension Rods to 4 other Russian Stadiums/Arena's - again these venues will be hosting the 2018 World Cup.
