Macalloy Architectural Tension Bars Used in Stayed Roof in WA Basketball Centre, Perth, AUSTRALIA

Macalloy Architectural Tension Bars were used as an within a design and architectural specification for the Basketball Centre

The WA Basketball Centre in Perth, Australia, has a visually stunning lightweight roof structure which encompasses Macalloy tie rods. This basketball arena has a stayed roof structure, suspended using Macalloy tie rods anchored back to ground level concrete blocks.

The arena is home to 2 show courts and 6 practice courts and can house 2,000 spectators.

With the aid of the Macalloy tie rods, the stayed roof structure provides for an un-inhibited internal space, with no internal columns and a large span lightweight roof.
