As part of the airports modernisation plans to increase the terminals capacity, reconfiguration and enlargement of the waiting rooms took place. Macalloy 460 M36 tie rods support the entire glass façade wall of the terminal.
Completed in June 2008, the new configuration of the airport enables it to handle 1.2 million passengers a year.
