Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh
Year of Completion 2004
After several years under construction the new Scottish Parliament designed by architect Enric Miralles was certainly worth the wait.
Unlike Westminster, the debating chamber of the Scottish Parliament has seating arranged in the semi circle with total of 131 seats. Using S460 in M20 with stainless couplers supplied, Macalloy bars supported several timber roof trusses within the debating chamber. In addition, fully threaded Macalloy 1030 in M36 was supplied, complete with nut, washer and plate.
