From an architectectural perspective the structure symbolises the origin of the public focal point of the Point waterfront Development namely the information kiosk, amphitheatre and ablution block and provides a link between the various icons within the development.
The lower section that contains a central core tube is supported by diagonal bracing, all post tensioned by use of 36 diameter grade 316 stainless steel Macalloy tendons, post tensioned by means of hydraulic jacking prior to erection.
