Aereoporto di Cork
Quello di Cork é uno dei piú rinomati e conosciuti aereoporti Irlandesi. Ricostruito ad un costo di 140 milioni di euro, il nuovo aeroporto é stato ingrandito allo scopo di accogliere circa tre milione di passeggeri in piú all'anno. Il nuovo terminale ha richiesto la costruzione di nuove strade di accesso, parcheggi multipiani ed uffici.

Con la nuova espansione completata alla fine del 2008, il nuovo terminale é in grado di accogliere più di 30 milione di passeggeri all'anno. Ci sono voluti oltre 35 mila tonnellate di acciaio tra tiranti 460 in M10, M12 e M24 a sostegno della facciata in vetro situata nell’edificio centrale

Campus Square combines the luxury of High Street shopping with the convenience of a modern retail complex. The center includes over 20,000 square meters of shopping area, with over 50 shops, including name-brand fashion, footwear and sporting goods, home furnishings, appliances and electronics, services, restaurants and coffees, and a Tesco hypermarket. Macalloy 460 tie rods in diameters M10, M16 and M20 were supplied as cross bracing of the roof structure. The retail centre first opened to the general public November 2008.
Capannone di Mosnov
La struttura principale del capannone é costituita da 7 capriate reticolari a forma d’arco, con una campata ciascuna di 145m e sorrette da 14 portanti strutturali alti 22m. Utilizzando coppie di tiranti in M105 della famiglia Macalloy 520, le barre sono utilizzate come ancoraggio inferiore della struttura reticolare. I tiranti, connessi mediante manicotti di giunzione, misurano 6 metri e sono ancorati alle travi di sostegno con forcelle di aggancio.

Il piano di ristrutturazione del bacino di Devonport ha visto in uso oltre 250 barre di ancoraggio alla piattaforma in diametro 75mm. Con un carico di rottura di 4310kN, l’ancoraggio 1030 é la piú grande barra attualmente disponibile sul mercato.

Dubai Sports City, Dubai
Dubai Sports City is a $4 Billion mixed use sports city which will consist of various outdoor and indoor stadia, a golf course and various other amenities. One of the facilities still in construction is the purpose built football academy. 24m long trusses using stainless Macalloy 460 in diameter M76 support the glulam roof above the swimming pool, special stainless steel was selected due to the high chlorine environment.

The main terminal building is 396 metres long, 176 metres wide and 400m tall, making it the largest free-standing structure in the UK. Stainless steel Macalloy tendons were used as cross bracing supports to the glass façade.

KL8 Footbridge, near Poznań
The KL8 footbridge is a situated over the S3 national road. The inclined arch girder and slightly curved deck are fastened with tendons, presenting a well-balanced yet forceful shape, with a 40m main span.
Kuwait Airport, VIP Cermonial Plaza
The membrane structure of the VIP Cermonial Plaza has an arch span of 84.7m x 46m between the two arches and the height of the masts are 32.2m. The structure uses Macalloy 460 M76 back stays, M42 and M64 tie bars.
La Chrysalide, Arles
Built as an activities centre for the mentally handicapped, the interior of building uses M12 and M24 galvanised tie rods in the roof structure. On the exterior of the building M42 Macalloy 460 painted tie rods are used as cross bracing.

Malmö Swing Bridge, Malmö
In order to minimise the thickness of the bridge deck and maintain the open character of the harbour, the swing span was designed as a cable-stayed structure. The 52 meter long cable-stayed bridge rests on a hemispherical concrete pivot pier, which gives the impression of floating on the water.
Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit
Chosen to host several matches for the FIFA World Cup 2010. The signature feature of the stadium are the 18 roof supports which are supplied with Macalloy 460 M76 and M85 tendons. Each roof support resembles a giraffe, this design consideration is quite apt as the stadium is located near the Kruger National Park. Macalloy are also proud to have supplied the Soccer City Stadium, the centre piece for the World Cup final in Johannesburg.

Millenium Bridge, Londra
Costruito solo per uso pedonale, questo passarella lunga 325 metri in acciaio é in completa sospensione e collega la cattedrale di St.Paul alla Tate Gallery, situata sull’atra sponda del fiume Tamigi. Dopo solo due giorni dall’ apertura, la passarella soffriva movimenti di oscillazione talmente da impedire ai passanti di rimanere in equilibrio, costringendo cosí la chiusura per approntare ulteriori modifiche.
Munich Airport Centre, Aereoporto di Monaco

Munksjö Bridge, Jönköping
The position of the bridge between the city centre and the open lake is unique, and requires a clear yet transparent structure to define an urban space which preserves open views from the city over the water.
One Island East, Hong Kong
One island east is an office tower that rises over 1,000ft. Macalloy 460 tendons were supplied for the footbridge and hanging walkway around the lift core. The new tower is linked with the existing tower by a footbridge, using M100 and M56 galvanised tendons.

Passarella di Walverdang, Lussemburgo
La maestosa passarella di Walverdang contiene barre Macalloy 460 in M48, lunghe sino a 20 metri. Per la realizzazione di questo progetto, é stato necessario l’uso di speciali manicotti di giunzione ad alta resistenza di carico.
Passarella Fuenlabrada, Madrid
L’impressionante Pasarela Fuenlabrada è stata costruita utilizzando una serie di tiranti inossidabili S460 in M76, per sostenere la piattaforma sospesa del ponte in diverse angolazioni. Una volta in erezione, gli stralli sono stati tesati con il Techno Tensioner, garantendo cosí precisione delle forze indotte. La passerella è stata progettata e realizzata dalla Tecpresa, in consorzio con il Gruppo Ferrovial Agroman, una delle più grandi società di costruzioni in Spagna
Passarella James Joyce, Dublino
Il manufatto in oggetto costituisce l’elemento principale e di maggiore prestigio nell’ambito di un progetto messo in opera dall'architetto Santiago Calatrava. La passarella é un ponte strallato che si sviluppa su una campata di lunghezza complessiva di 40 metri attraverso il fiume Liffey.

Built to host 1899 Hoffenheim footbal matches, Macalloy 460 tendons with central connection discs are used as cross bracing within the roof structure. The stadium has a capacity of 30,000 people and will host international matches at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Riverside Bridge, Cambridge
The new Riverside Bridge in Cambridge is supplied with Macalloy 1030 as holding down bolts and Macalloy 460 as hangars. This structure is the first crossing in the city since 1971, the two lane bridge will allow access of use to both cyclists and pedestrians.
Sheikh Khalifa Sports City Grandstand
This recently built project consists of a main grandstand, multipurpose sports and swimming hall, plus the resurfacing of the existing running track and replacement of the artificial turf with natural grass.
Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Contract 3, Abu Dhabi
Construction of a 912m long bridge linking Abu Dhabi with the mainland has a central span of 234m. The main bridge is a hybrid structure, consisting of central steel asymmetric arch ribs supporting pre-stressed concrete box girder decks. At the two main channel piers, the decks are supported by inclined pre-stressed concrete supports, rising vertically from the pier pile caps. The foundation comprises large diameter bored in situ piles.
Silverburn Centre, Glasgow
Silverburn is a new 'out of town' shopping centre located in Pollok, Glasgow, Scotland. Macalloy S460 tendons was supplied to support the glass façade at both the front and rear entrances. The centre first opened its doors in October 2007 and is one of the largest shopping centres in the UK.
St Paul’s Square, Liverpool, UK
St Paul's Square is the gateway to Liverpool's new Central Business District. This new development comprises of 5 building including office space, luxury apartments, a restaurant and car parking space.
Stadio di Manchester
Costruito per i giochi olimpici del Commonwealth nel 2002, lo stadio di Manchester fu poi ristrutturato per divenire la sede sportiva del Manchester City. Durante i lavori di ricostruzione, gran parte della struttura fu temporaneamente rimossa e sostituita da un’altra, posta ai due lati delle rispettive curve, aumentando cosí la capienza interna di 12000 posti a sedere.

La ricostruzione dello stadio di Doha avvenne prima dell’inizio dei giochi asiatici del 2006. Allo scopo di aumentare la sua capienza interna, il progetto fu eseguito in due fasi.

Con forti radici nel passato, i lavori di ristrutturazione dello stadio olimpico di Berlino cominciarono nel 2000 e permisero di ospitare 6 dei piú importanti incontri dei Mondiali di Calcio, Germania 2006.

Built as a centre for the treatment and recycling of waste, the SYCTOM de l’agglomération parisienne is situated on the outskirts of Paris. Macalloy 460 tie rods are used as bracing to the external framework of the building.
Temple Bar Rebuild, Londra
Il monumento progettato da Christopher Wren fu acquisito dal comune di Londra e ricostruito nella capitale, vicino alla cattedrale di St. Paul.
The Kolomoen footbridge
Situated between Norway's two largest valleys the Gudbrandsdalen and Osterdalen and built over the existing E6 motorway route. This bridge is the dominant sculptural form amongst the evergreen forest and is supplied with Macalloy 520 M76, M85 and M100 tension rods as back stays and bridge deck supports.
Trinec-Baliny Bridge
Careful technical and organisational preperation was required to minimise the time needed for closure on the railway track located under the bridge. Macalloy 520 tie rods in M56 and M64 diameter were erected and prestressed on site by Tension Structures, s.r.o using the Macalloy Technotensioner, to ensure correct loads were applied to the structure.
Viadotto di Millau
Il viadotto di Millau é un viadotto costruito con la tecnica del ponte strallato che attraversa la valle del Tarn, nella Francia meridionale. Progettato dall’ architetto inglese Norman Foster, in collaborazione con il noto ingegnere delle infrastrutture francesi, il Signor Michel Virlogeux, é il piú alto ponte veicolare del mondo, con la sommitá di un pilastro a 341 metri. Il ponte a pedaggio lungo 2.5 km fu aperto al traffico nel 2004 ed i lavori di costruzione per 271 milioni di sterline furono aggiudicati alla ditta france Eiffage.
Viadotto sul fiume Navia, Asturias
Il Viadotto sul fiume Navia, inaugurato nel giugno 2006, é fatto di due archi centrali connessi ai pilastri in cemento armato. Con un’apertura é di 160m, ogni arco é stato riempito di calcestruzzo e connesso alla piattaforma mediante barre di ancoraggio Macalloy 1030.
Viaducto Marin Ute Arlaban, Guipuzcoa
Situated in the Marin Valley, this new viaduct is 598m long and 93m in height. Macalloy 40mm bars were used for the temporary connection of the prefabricated bridge segments, the bars were tensioned to 90 Tonnes with hydraulic jacks.
Victoria Terminal 4, Belfast
La nuova struttura ultra moderna del terminale Victoria (VT4) e quella di ancoraggio del bacino adiacente sono state erette mediante barre Macalloy 17MHS di diametro superiore allo standard. L’ aggiunta di nastro anticorrosione Denso & nastro anticorrosione Denso PVC ha offerto un’ efficace sistema di protezione contro la corrosione. Ogni tirante completo di dado, rondella e piatto ha permesso l’ancoraggio delle piattaformi tubolari alle palancole di protezione.

A new 100-metre network arch bridge spanning the Waikato river features 76 'hangars' of 64-millimetre, galvanised steel Macalloy bar.
Wainwright Bridge, Blackburn
Macalloy 460 M85 tie rods were used to suspend the landmark Wainwright Bridge, providing a vital road link in Blackburn, Lancashire.
Whitehall Footbridge, Leeds
Whitehall Footbridge crosses the River Aire just south of Leeds railway station, and provides pedestrian and cycle access from the village of Holbeck to the city centre. The bridge has two spans: the main 40m span crossing the river is a curved shallow steel box girder with a tied arch leaning away from the deck. The second span is straight, 10m in length and curved in plan and bowed in elevation.
Willow Place, Corby
As part of Northamptonshire's impressive programme of urban regeneration, a brand new retail development has been built in the centre of Corby town. Macalloy tie-rods were used to support the steel flying mast.
